As a technical individual contributor, you will participate in the design verification efforts of Broadcom's highly successful Wireless Personal Area Network (PAN) SOCs by developing and using state-of-art techniques for the design verification of complex SOC communications chips.
Responsibilities include: Contribute to the business unit's over-all verification strategies, simulation environment and test code coverage methodology. Responsible for creation and execution of verification plans as part of complex ASIC development projects. Work as technical expert in creating and enhancing tools/scripts to support entire design and verification team's design analysis, debugging, and verification. Design and develop top-level test benches, test cases. Responsible for chip and block-level simulation verification. Knowledge and experties in constrained-random verification tools/methodolgy are a plus. Job Requirements : -Typically requires a BS degree and 9 years of experience, an MS degree and 6 years of experience or a PhD and 3 years experience with emphasis in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and working experience that demonstrates the technical expertise in successful completion of multiple VLSI verification projects. -Experienced in authoring the verification requirements and test plans for complex SOC based on Engineering Specifications. -Experience with and thorough understanding of up-to-date RTL simulation and verification methodology, tools and languages. -Assertion-based and formal checking verification, test code coverage and HW/SW co-simulation. -Experince with Verilog, Verilog PLI, SystemVerilog or Vera, UNIX Scripts, C, Perl, Tcl. -Experience with the following areas in design and verification is a plus: Systems with Embedded ARM processors; Systems using communications protocols such as Bluetooth, 802.11, USB 2.0, UART, SDIO, SPI, I2C and I2S. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work closely with a variety of individual contributors and managers from different functional groups.
