This position is a senior or principal level software/verification engineer responsible for:
- Functional testing for GPON and DSL products
- Create unified verification environment with a main focus on pre tape-out HW data path design validation, post tape-out design verification and regression testing
- Identify and utilize existing commercial tools as well as develop in-house tools for design verification
- Work closely with software and chip design teams on identifying and resolving issues
- Work closely with customers to quickly resolve or identify issues

Job Requirements : Typically requires a BS degree with 8 or more years of experience, an MS degree with 6 or more years of experience or a PhD and 4 years of experience. Desirable experience includes:
- Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, PERL, Python)
- Development experience with Linux OS.
- Proficiency in C, C++ and SystemC. Verilog and VHDL knowledge is a plus
- Experience with networking test equipment (SmartBits, IXIA)
- Strong analytical, diagnostic and problem solving skills.
- Excellent knowledge in TCP/IP v4 and v6, bridge, routing, NAPT, firewall, ATM, PPP, PPPoE, VLAN, MPLS network protocols
