Responsible for managing and negotiating EDA and SW Development Tools and IP contracts and ensuring the compliance of these agreements.
Specific job responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with engineers to determine the best in class IP and/or tools used for EDA and SW development needs.
- Facilitate the bringing in of best in class IP and EDA and SW development tools and sponsor them centrally.
- Put in place the best terms to enable engineering design while protecting Broadcom's best interest.
- Participate in negotiations with preferred supplier(s) and put in place contracts that address business terms as well as legal terms to protect Broadcom's IP.
- Ensure compliance of the terms and conditions of the contracts Broadcom has in place.
- Build in mechanisms to ensure compliance and tracking of technology usage.
- Collaboration with the engineering, finance and legal departments.
Job Requirements : Job Experience: Min 10 years managing all aspects of contracts either on the selling or buying side of these types of products.
Min Degree: Bachelors degree in either Engineering or Business; undergrad in engineering + MBA preferred.
Understanding of financial and legal concepts to effectively work with the engineering, finance and legal teams.
Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate the best terms and conditions with regards to cost and tool usage.
