Principal Firmware Engineer
You will use your skills to contribute to the development of Broadcom's objectives and principals to achieve design goals in creative and effective ways. You will take responsibility for the design and implementation of a platform device or major software module/functionality, and act as a key interface with a major customer on a single platform. You will work on significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles. You will define software development processes, contribute to patent activities and provide project status updates. You will act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments and may be involved with supervising the activities of others.
Sr. Staff Firmware Engineer
You will take responsibility for the design and implementation of a software module with a tier two customer. Using professional concepts to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways, you will be adept at solving problems where the analysis of situations or data requires and in-depth evaluation of variable factors. You will determine methods and procedures of new assignments and may coordinate the activities of others (Team Lead).
Staff Firmware Engineer
You will take responsibility for the design and implementation of a complex single software module. You will work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Your experience and knowledge enables you to resolve a wide range of issues in creative and effective ways. At a staff engineer level we expect you to be a self-starter requiring little instruction on day to day work, although support is always available whenever required.
