Mobile and Wireless
Broadcom is actively seeking experienced RFIC Design Engineers who want to join a dynamic and experienced team and take their technical knowledge to the next level. You will be responsible for the design of Radios in various digital CMOS technologies including submicron .13 CMOS. Design of RFIC blocks such as low noise, amplifier, power amplifier, front-end RF PLL and transceivers, RF Synthesizers, IF filters. You'll help with transistor modeling for RF design, RF board and module design, and lab characterizations.

Trancievers
Design and layout circuits for transceiver applications including PA's, mixers, LNA's, IF amplifiers (VGAs, PGAs  and FGAs), PLLs (PDFs, QPs, Dividers, Loop Filters), high-speed DAC's, and Discrete and Continuous Timer Filters. Verify circuit designs and perform computer simulations using Analog Artist, Spectre RF and Microwave Office.
Generate and verify layout of circuits using Virtuoso and Calibre.  Test, measure, and debug circuits in the laboratory.  Prepare and present designs, simulation results and measurement data to design team.

Desired Skills:

  • Must have RF transistor level design skills.
  • Expertise in CMOS RF highly desirable.
  • Must be self-starter, have passion in his/her work, and be able to work in a team of RF design engineers.
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in several of the following areas:
  • RF blocks used in Transmitter and receivers
  • Front-end (LNA, mixers, PA drivers, PAs) up to 6GHz
  • PLL Design
  • Baseband blocks used in transceiver such as Filters
  • Knowledge of simulation tools such as Cadence, SpectreRF, and Agilent ADS.
  • Knowledge of RF and analog circuit design and layout.
  • Knowledge of high-speed broadband data system transceiver design.
